Going through the pictures taken yesterday at, and around, #Interlaken🇨🇭Ost train station, a busy hub for #SBB #BLS #Zentralbahn #Brünig and #BOB #Jungfrau Region services. Standard gauge and metre gauge trains meet here every half hour basically, ensuring almost seamless connections.

A #Zentralbahn🇨🇭#Meiringen to #Interlaken local is seen here crossing the #Aare River bridge shortly before reaching the western terminus of the #Brünig line. A #Stadler narrow gauge unit is working this service. Picture taken earlier today.

The narrow-gauge #Zentralbahn🇨🇭#Brünig railway at #Interlaken and Lake #Brienz in August 2007. That stretch is mostly flat (according to Swiss standards that is), yet this former #SBB line also includes some rack railway sections further north, towards #Luzern.
