Looking back, it's hard to pick favorites from the themes I oversaw... but 2016 and 2019 were probably the most fun to create.

Each year we tried to have a theme... something we progressively leaned harder into starting in 2015. We mostly expressed it in our circular "annual motif" logo, our program book, and signage. But by #BronyCon 2019, we had fully revamped our website to be a vehicle for the theme as well!
2015: Clash of the Cosmos (aka War of the Worlds)
2016: World Travel
2017: Portals & Parallel Worlds
2018: Roadtrip Equestria
2019: Spycraft -

There were some profoundly strange things about #BronyCon and that whole fandom really. I got involved because, naturally, it was in Baltimore and how could I not? I hadn't even watched the show until the event moved here. But in the end, it was more about putting on a great event and making people feel welcome in Baltimore. We looked profesh' as hell, too.

I just realized that it's the 5th anniversary of the final #BronyCon weekend. So many happy memories from when I headed up the Design Team! A few nightmares, too! 😜 There'll never be another event like it.

#BronyCon was spectacular. It's so good to be in a place where everyone is the same kind of weird that you are. Over 10,000 people traveling from all over the world to celebrate friendship together - it gives me hope for humanity. So much cheering, singing, positivity and creativity on display. Many happy memories made. #mlp
