A bizarre sequence of play from the Phoenix, making no effort to boost their score in the closing stages, thereby handing their opponents a huge net RR boost (their net RR is irrelevant, since this result eliminates them from the tournament). It ends with Phoenix on 124-8, beaten by 45 runs. Just four runs from the final ten balls, one of those a wide by Potts. I hope someone in Phoenix management puts Jordan Thompson on blast for his selfish pursuit of the red-inker that he has duly secured.
