I'm fairly new here, and loving this #tunetuesday thing that's going on. I've come across some covers on here that I've not heard before and it makes my heart happy to find new #music to love.
Another #bettercover that I just simply adore is "Man Who Sold the World" by Nirvana from 1993. Original by David Bowie, released in 1970. Don't get me wrong I DO really like the original. I just much prefer this version 😍 -
Granted, the bar was pretty low on this one- but a more or less heartfelt tribute to Minneapolis.

As much as I love, even worship, The Wipers, I think that Melvins version of "Youth of America" is a #BetterCover. It's faithful to the original, but just punchier and better sounding.

Here's my contribution for #TuneTuesday by @Kitty with a theme of #BetterCover.
I've long held the opinion that if I were a musical artist and Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings covered one of my songs, I'd probably just stop performing it because they always seem to make their covers markedly better than the originals. And I say this as I lifelong Janet Jackson fan who loves the original.

This week's Tune Tuesday theme is Better Cover, a song where the cover is better than the original. I have to go with "Alone" by Heart. I think a lot of people don't know it was a cover, originally released by i-Ten in 1983, which Heart took to an entirely different level.

Tommy Vext: I want to do a cover song.
Band: Ok. Who do you want to cover?
TV: I want to cover the Cranberries.
Band: Dude, we're a metal band. Why would you want to cover the Cranberries?
TV: I want to cover "Zombie."
Band: Oh......that song is brutal.
