Damon Albarn is a genius and deserves far more recognition then he gets.
He deserves to have his name mentioned in the same breath as people like Dylan, Hendrix, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Lennon & McCartney, Bowie and many more. True musical heroes, legends, architects of modern music.
Blur have been going since the early nineties and have produced a lot of good music in that time. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, especially the ‘Britpop’ years. But you can’t deny their longevity.
