This govt reticence to apply a #GasExportTax or a #SuperProfitTax is not only despicable and a slap in the face of every #Australian, it’s also making a strong case for a call to #EndPoliticalDonations

We cannot have our Parliamentary Representative in the pocket of #ExtractiveIndustries or any #Corporation or #PrivateEnterprises or indeed championing an economic system that has, and is still proving it doesn’t work for the better interests of society as a whole.

Time for a for a #progressiveREvolution at the #VotingBooths people. Use your vote, use your brain put all Australians before your self interests and we might get out OK on the other side.

#AlboPM, you’re a traitor to the people who put you there in good faith.

  2. Sometimes, sorely needed social & progressive legislation takes an inordinate amount of time to enact due to an abundance of caution. If the Environment is a delicate area to address, Tertiary education is not — past legislative actions which f**ed the system were quick enough to be enacted without much consultation (if any at all, as the JRG disaster shows).

“The Productivity Commission joined the call for a “new funding model as a priority” given the “design flaws” of Job Ready Graduates. It said the “differences in student contributions by perceived labour market needs fail to meet their goals while arbitrarily increasing debt burdens on some students”. The Accord’s final report in February 2024, highlighting this unfairness, found the student fee structure needs to be replaced.

The government has yet to act on this. Instead, students must wait for the newly established Australian Tertiary Education Commission to design a new funding and fees model.”

I do not understand how one can champion ‘the rule of law’ and at the same time condone an illegal act. It just doesn’t make sense, Penny #Wong does not make sense (It must be killing her inside I wager).

BOO to the #Australian govt, yes, looking at you #AlboPM for not having the guts to stand by your avowed principles just because, you know… fear, dependency, hypocrisy, (add terms as appropriate).
