A line of neighbors along a sunlit road in Palmer, Alaska: flags, bold signs, and mountains keeping watch.
This is "Red State Resilience: Alaska No Kings Protest," because it captures the mix of resolve and everyday life so clearly. The steady procession gives the scene a quiet, insistent energy that feels immediate and human.

A bold call: "THINK while it is still legal." A powerful visual statement to nudge critical thinking.
The sky-blue sign reads like a moment pulled from the crowd—urgent, a little wry, impossible to ignore.
Put this where conversations happen: a hallway, a study, or the place where friends drop in and linger. Where would you hang it? Who in your family most needs this message?!

I am pleased to share one of my recent artworks, "Red Line Midden." This 16 x 12-inch piece is created using a mix of acrylic, oil, and bone china on cradled birch panel.
The inspiration for this piece comes from the winter storms that uncover over 4,000 years of Indigenous history. The painting invites viewers to hold space for remembrance, observation, and action, drawing attention to these middens. The red line symbolizes the impacts of climate change, and the broken bone china represents the European settler culture, highlighting the layers of exposed shells along the shores of the southwest coast of Canada.
I hope "Red Line Midden" resonates with you and encourages reflection on the importance of acknowledging our history and the impacts on our environment.
