π€ πΎπππππ π€ :therian:β :trans_weed:β :pacifier_pink:β @[email protected] Β·why do some people consider depicting transfems w/ masc characteristics and transmascs w/ fem characteristics bad (when not done as a caricature ofc)? do people not realize that some of us can be gender non-conforming, not on hormones, or just early on in transition? trans people aren't always gonna look cis-passing, and that's okay! anyone can be gnc, not just cis people.
not to mention that some physical characteristics typically associated with one's assigned sex don't just magically Disappear from hormones. it's ok for a girl to be tall and have narrower hips or for a boy to have soft features and be curvierβ that really doesn't dictate your validity in your identity. calling depictions of trans characters that are not cisnormative ugly/unsightly/inherently offensive just harms the trans community more in my opinion (AS a gnc trans person myself).

π€ πΎπππππ π€ :therian:β :trans_weed:β :pacifier_pink:β @[email protected] Β·CW: proship/fic positivity, if you like fucked up fiction PLEASE read this
was speaking with a friend who is studying art history and they just sent me a passage that they thought was interestingβ i honestly thought it was enlightening to the human condition itself and how indulging in problematic media has been a thing we have been doing for like, hundreds of years. here's the passage:
"Lippard and other adventure writers (whose works accounted for 60 percent of all American fiction titles published between 1831 and 1860) indulged in a pornography of violence that included cannibalism, blood drinking, and murder by every imaginable means. They also dealt with sex in unprecedentedly explicit ways, introducing readers not only to seduction and rape but also to transvestitism, child pornography, necrophilia, miscegenation, group sex, homosexuality, andβperhaps most shocking of allβwomen with criminal minds and insatiable sexual appetites. The scenes of gore and sexual depravity were presented voyeuristicallyβas self-righteous exposΓ©s of the perversions of the rich and powerful and stories of the Foundersβ Republic trampled upon by a vicious elite that pretended virtue but lived only for its appetites."
this passage is in the context of the moral panic between writers of problematic fiction in the 1800s and Christian elitists specifically believing this fiction to be depravity and demanding it gone... anyone notice a pattern? this is LITERALLY ye olde proship vs. anti discourse. we as human beings have been at this for hundreds of years, none of these online discourses are new ideas. this is why you HAVE to continue creating, no matter WHAT the subject matter of your work is, because you β and all of the other artists and writers that came before you β are actively fighting against the oppression of sexuality and censoring of transgressive fiction.
keep. creating. no matter how bizarre or egregiously sexual your work is. NEVER give up your right to create art.

π€ πΎπππππ π€ :therian:β :trans_weed:β :pacifier_pink:β @[email protected] Β·kinda important to state this here but i'm not anti-paraphileβ *within reason*. it's kind of silly to be anti a mental disorder, not like they can control it π i myself struggle with disordered attraction due to extensive sexual trauma, it isn't inherently an evil thing. what i am anti is ABUSE. what i am anti is CONTACT. what i am PRO is THERAPY! the real issue imo is when people start building communities online surrounding their paraphilias which will Always attract pro- and neutral-contact crowds...
if you do have a paraphilia and cope with it through fantasy/are getting help with it through therapy, you're safe here. you're not inherently a monster so long as you *DON'T* hurt non-consenting parties. i wouldn't call myself... pro-paraphilia, just pro-therapy and safe expression. i just think it's dumb to turn a sex disorder into a pro vs. anti debate Β―\_(γ)_/Β―

π€ πΎπππππ π€ :therian:β :trans_weed:β :pacifier_pink:β @[email protected] Β·CW: kinda hot/controversial take, drug use/abuse/etc within the queer community, i love yall stay safe
this might be kind of controversial to say but i really don't see enough people talking about it. like Seriously. this shit should be TALKED ABOUT especially with young queer people!
the drug culture in queer spaces kills people. i will say this again and again. *the drug culture in queer spaces KILLS young queer people.* especially in raver/clubber/partying scenes, it is terrifying how normalized hard drugs are and how severely their effects are watered down. i think it's terrible and i am extremely extremely critical of it.
harm reduction and prevention are genuinely so important to practice, and as a young gay transgender adult i am a very staunch advocate for it FOR A REASON. i have known of people i care for and consider my friends coming face-to-face with death due to reckless drug usage, it's so scary ): drugs aren't cute and silly and should not be treated as such. they are a powerful force to be reckoned with that could cause great harm even in the smallest of doses. Be Careful friends!!!
i depict difficult topics no one likes to talk about within the queer community such as drug use and grooming/abuse through my story Obscura, and i hope i can spread a message of self-preservation, safety, and responsibility with my work. these topics are unfortunately very present in my life and while i am eternally grateful for my community in my real life, i have seen some disgusting things (and people) come out of it that are so sadly kept under wraps.
Obscura is not just the story of a fictional world, it's the stories of myself and all the people i hold dear to me who have been wronged by this world. it's the story of my community and all the grief and love that comes with it.
thanks for hearing our voices :pride_heart:β

π€ πΎπππππ π€ :therian:β :trans_weed:β :pacifier_pink:β @[email protected] Β·CW: long reassuring post, lolisho talk, positivity, support (from a real life law student!)
to any of you feeling guilty and disgusted about being kodocons (liking lolis and shotas), whether that be due to toxic anti rhetoric or your own fears/pocd (trust me, i've been there! you are not alone :blobcatheartsqueeze:β), i am making this post to hopefully make someone feel a little bit better.
not many people online know this but i am in fact a prospective law student, and a proud kodocon/problematic shipper. i am going into the field of law for the sole purpose of helping victims of online sex crimes receive the justice i never got as a kid who was hurt in vile and disgusting ways at the hands of abusers on the internet.
i have studied the ups and downs of law in college since i was sixteen years old, and i can reassure you all that there is *no such thing as a thought crime*. in order for an act to be considered criminal, there must be criminal intent, and drawing/consuming media is *not* criminal by any means! there must additionally be a harmful result, whether that be harming another person, animal, a person's property, etc. fictional drawings and media hurt *no one*, and never will.
not every victim copes the same way. even if you just enjoy lolisho fiction because you find it cute/hot/etc, that is completely okay! you are *not* disgusting, as long as you do not have criminal intent!
i hope this post helps some of you β€οΈβ i love you all!
