So Samuel took the horn full of olive oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers. The Spirit of YHWH rushed upon David from that day onward. Then Samuel got up and went to Ramah (1 Samuel 16:13).
YHWH was with #Saul and gave him victory over the #Ammonites, the #Philistines, and the #Amalekites.
But Saul would seek to do things in the ways which seemed best to him and obeyed #God in the ways he imagined God wanted his obedience.
This did not go over well with YHWH.

#Netanyahu is believed to be an atheist. Netanyahu's use of the word #Amalekites is more than alarming. According to #Exodus, Amalekites were the recurrent enemies of Israelites. Eventually all Amalekites were wiped out, including all children and women.
Netanyahu's intention is clear, i.e., ethnic cleansing.
