@kritikaPensulo 3rd party devs help a lot. For example #Alexandrite (example: https://a.lemmings.world) is a beautiful and functional UI, so is #Photon (example: https://p.lemmings.world).
And for the moderation part we're currently developing #Fediseer (https://gui.fediseer.com) to help quite a bit. And what's more, it can help other #fediverse projects as well (for example #Mastodon is fully supported for synchronization).

If anyone is looking to use #Lemmy more and is put off by the UI a little, give #Alexandrite a go:
It's a front end that points at your instance, but it has a much more polished feel to it. No more pagination, a usable list of subs, more losing place in feeds...
The dev reckons he'll include the ability to self-host, so hopefully some Lemmy instances will offer it as an alternative (as Lemmy.world has done with Voyager).
