This makes it extra strange that she is not here on the Fediverse as well. I'd love to follow her.

I understand that she wants to be on the other platforms as well. But why not add a free, sovereign channel? As basis.

nun, das waren die Fediverse-Profile Schweizer Medien und Journis die ich Stand 22.07.2025 zusammenkratzen konnte :)

Ich habe mehr entdeckt, als erwartet – schön seid ihr da!
Trotzdem ist da ist noch Luft nach oben:
- wenige Medien sind als Medium aktiv
- wenige Journis haben ein Profil, noch weniger bespiel es aktiv
- das neue Feature AuthorTags (https://niklasbarning.de/2024/10/09/mastodon-author-tags-auf-der-eigenen-seite-nutzen/) scheint noch gar nicht genutzt zu werden
- eine eigene Instanz hat nur die Republik

Um das etwas anzukurbeln:
Freundlich sein mit Journis, die schon im Fediverse sind. Auf Beiträge reagieren, Fragen stellen, Tipps stecken. Den Profilen folgen (mit dem Listen-Feature kann die Flut gut gebändigt werden).

Die Medien und Journis eures Vertrauens anstupsen, sich ins Fediverse zu trauen:
- Profile ermutigen
- Verlinkungen der Profile anregen
- #AdoptAWriter eine Person auswählen und deren Texte im Fediverse teilen. So hat sie ein Publikum, noch bevor sie hier auftaucht

Wenn ihr weitere Journis kennt (oder seid) - gerne kommentieren, um die Sammlung zu erweitern :)

@_elena I finally got to read your article 😊 I like your idea of #adoptawriter but to be able to adopt one, they must already be willing to join and I think this is the harder part than the technical hurdles..
But on the other hand it's a complex question and there is no silver bullet, the way to federate social media consists of many parts, and being helpful for sure is one of them.

Yet another powerful post by @_elena about the need for writers and journalists to at least ALSO be present in the Fediverse.
