Hmm, I wonder if there's a funny mistake here? "Original content" doesn't make any sense in the given context.
I suspect the authors originally wrote "OC" (read: "official cover"), which would be logical here. At some point an editor attempted to decode the acronym "OC" and picked the wrong expansion. Then the book was published with the incongruous "original content" reference.
