MirrorLess45.5はこの記事を含めてもまだ200本に達していません。
引っ越したばかりだからね。
レンズ200本買える日は来るのか……（゜-゜）。
そこまで来てる気もするし、途中でリリースを始めるかもしれません。最近、青汁を毎日朝晩1本飲んでいます。
「これでもか！」というくらい快適生活をしてます。
こんな毎日は何年ぶりなんだろう。
思えば学生時代が終わってから胃腸は慢性的働かない状態が続いてました。
毎日じゃなくても別に死ぬわけじゃないし、「楽じゃん？」と思うことさえありました。いや、マジで。
逆に言うと、トイレに行くのって面倒くさいやん？……とまでは言いませんが、多少はありました。
特に海外にいると、トイレがなかなか見つからないんですよね。
食生活が乱れ、休む時間も乱れ、土日は疲れた体を癒そうと理由をつけて出かけることも減りました。
原因はそこだったんでしょうね。
先々週、なんとなく香港から深センに帰る電車の中で、香港側最後の駅近くの薬局で青汁が売っているのを見つけました。
値段は70香港ドル（約1,100円）くらい。
今まで青汁と言えば、テレビの罰ゲームで役者さんが「まずい！もう一杯！」と叫んでいる記憶しかなかったので、体にいいと知りながらも飲みたいと思ったことは全くありませんでした。
でもこの年になると、体にいいものでお手頃価格なら試してみようかなと思い、買ってみました。
結果は先に書いた通りなので、これ以上オチはありませんが……青汁、結構いいんだなぁという素直な感想です。以前、いろいろ問題発言もあったみたいですが、消すのも面倒なので、見なかったことにしてください。
A.Schacht Ulm Travenar 2.8/50
手に入れたシャハトはこれで2本目。
テッサー構成で3群4枚。
パッと見でも分かる通り、作りはがっちりしています。
手に持つと、見た目以上の質量に驚く。
レンズの材料はアルミと真鍮がつかわれているので、このズッシリとした重みは値段に反映されます。
今でこれを作るなら、現代の画質、ゼブラ塗装、ギミック、10万円でも厳しい気がします。2.8/50のレンズ部はもっと小型でもできるはずですが、操作性とギミックでそれなりの大きさを維持してます。
テッサー構成はその気になればソ連製Industar-50や50-2くらいまで小型化できます。
その場合は価格も安くなる代わりにレンズ外周が回転するため、絞り環の操作性が著しく低下します。
サーキュラーフィルター（PL-C）のように調整が必要なものは面倒になるし、何と言っても高級感がなくなります。A.Schachtの銘板には「R」を良く見かけます。
（しかしこのパンフレットを見ると何故かない、なんだこれ？って何度も思いました。）
販売先や時期によってRの有り無しがあったり消したりしてるのはなぜなのか？
ネットで色んな人に聞いてもすんなり納得出来る回答は得られなかった。
販売先によってRを消す理由は不明です。
ですが、「R」の由来
これはネット上でも議論されてきましたが、Peter Geisler（ピーター・ガイスラー博士）の著書によれば、「R」はRauteから来ています。
Raute、直訳するとダイヤモンド状になりますが、四辺形の意味でもあります。
（以下、推測）
当時のドイツでは、Carl Zeissも含めて、レンズにコーティングを施したものは「高級品」や「特別感」を与えるべく、赤いマークをつけてました。Carl Zeiss：T/T*
ENNA：C
Meyer：V
Steinheil：D
Schneider：△
A.Schacht：♢当初はアピールポイントとして、「コーティング処理を施しました」と赤い♢を使って表現していました。
なぜ♢なのか？という質問があったかどうかは定かではありませんが、もしかするとあったのかもしれません。
Rの理由については別記事で詳しく推測してます。
こちらをご覧ください。その後、銘板の♢をRに変更した理由は、おそらく「銘板のごく一部分だけ赤い文字にする場合、その部分のためだけに赤い塗料を用意しなければならない」からです。
一見簡単そうに見えますが、実はかなりの技術を要します。
具体的には、文字の部分に赤い塗料を流し込んだ後、余分な塗料を素早くきれいに拭き取る作業が必要です。
これを美しく仕上げるには、相当な熟練度が求められ、時間もかかります。
零細企業にとってそこはコストをかける理由は少なかった、と思います。A.Schacht ＝ Albert Schacht ＝ アルベルト・シャハト
（近年はドイツもアルバートと読む人も増えてるらしい、「増えてる」ということは通常はアルベルトです）
アルバートは過去の人脈を駆使してたのか、色々なカメラメーカーに売り込みを行って、製品は採用されてます。
M42、Exakta、Leica L39などの汎用品も作りながら、Leidolf、Praktina Bayonet、Praktina M、ALPAをはじめとする高級機や時代を先取りしすぎた機種にも対応していました。A.Schachtのカメラ用レンズは、最初から2.8/50を作ってました。
F3.5タイプはベローズ向けしか作ってなかった。
1950年代はまだF3.5が主流だった時代に対し、F2.8はどちらかと言うとミドルクラス向けでした。
高級路線への意識は高かったと伺えます。余談ですが、アルベルトはどこの出身なのか？それを説明する資料はありません。
ミュンヘンとは言われてます
ULMは物理学者アインシュタインの故郷です。
世界で最も高いウルム大聖堂（141m）を有する街でもあります。いつかドイツでA.Schachtへの聖地巡礼の旅がしたいです。
シャハトは僅か22年（1948〜1970）で消滅しました。
その間は積極的にカメラメーカーに売り込んだりしていたようで、このTravenar 2.8/50は特にキットレンズとして生産数もかなり多い。シリアルナンバー調査で得た結果は、約48,070本は必ず存在します。
・シルバー、パンダー、ゼブラなど、すべての2.8/50を含みます。
・崩していないシリアルブロックは数カ所あるため、この数は全部ではありません。
・一眼レフ用に限定した結果がこの数字です。
・3.5/50などの特殊用途製品は含まれません。この2.8/50は長く作られているので、構成は同じでも外観は変化していっているため、少なくとも5種類は存在します。
テッサー構成は、戦前 / 戦後と分かれるそうです。
戦後はレアアース材料が加えられたガラスが開発されて、今で言う低分散レンズを使った設計が可能になりました。
その結果、同じテッサーで、戦後で設計されたもののほうが全体的にレベルが上がってるというわけです。
「Postwar Tessar」
馴染みのない響きです。軽い気持ちで始まったメンテナンス
購入後、フォーカスリングがやや固いから、多分グリース切れを起こしていると思って少し足しました。レンズメンテナンス初心者にとって、レンズの構造は常に未知との遭遇です。
何個もやってると天狗になってできた気になる、映画でいわゆる雑魚キャラです。
それでもこれを見た時はめまいがしました。モーターないのになぜかギアが付いてました。
この時点で雑魚として目が覚めましたので、すぐにでも閉じてなかったことにしたかった。
焦点深度を教えてくれるガイド部
うっかり触ってしまい、赤色の部分が連動しなくなりました。
これはやっちまった案件です。
わかり易すぎる
構造はそれほど複雑ではないけど、ガイドの位置を上手く調整しないと旗の位置がズレます。どうせ調整するなら、経年劣化したグリスをきれいにして、ウレアグリスを塗りました。
格闘して約一時間、二時間かもしれないし、30分かもしれない。
30分はないな、そんなに器用じゃないから。
なんとか納得できる位置に戻すことができました。本来なら全体をバラしてクリーニングしたかったけど、中身を抜いてもう一度組み立てるのは無理と判断して、簡単にグリスを足して閉めました。
SPEC
寸法と重量は実測値です
生産年は、厳密ではありません。
正確な年数はわからないが、この時期から2.8/50が作られ始めたと思われます。初期の2.8/50の外装はフルシルバー、その後の時代に応じて外観を変えながら、終着点のゼブラに移行していきます。
購入したのは2015年5月22日。
生産数は厳密に確定はできませんが、多少の誤差はあっても45,000本以上は存在するはずです。利便性を考えるならM42が基本でしょうが、アーム付きEXAKTAはギミックが格好いいです。
ヤフオク、eBayなどの中古サイトなら高い確率で売ってますので、状態のいいものから選ぶと良いでしょう。
長い間に作られてきた製品で外観バージョンは豊富。
カメラのキットレンズで抱き合わせ商法にも頑張っていたので、探せばEdixaカメラとセットで手に入れてみるのも面白いかもしれません。
シルバー、ゼブラ、いずれも見た目が格好いいので、安くても8,000円（送料別）以上は覚悟してください。「2.8/50なんて価値がない？」と言われることもありますが、それを覆すほどのすごいレンズです！とは言いません。
ただ、お手頃価格でゼブラを手にするチャンスであることは間違いありません。絞りを回せばフォーカス範囲を目視で教えてくれる。
使っていて面白いギミックです。この時は調整がうまくいっていなくて、微妙にスペースが空いてしまってます。
試し撮り
＜クールトーン＞
（ホワイトバランスを蛍光灯に変えてます）なんとなく横文字でぼんやりして特徴のように書いてますけど、平たく言えば、変色です。
変色が一定以上のレベルまで達すると、HENTAIの目には価値ありと認められます。有名なものはLeica、Carl Zeiss Jena、Steinheilなど。
国産はPetri 2.8/135もクールトーンだったりします。
