@zleap you can still learn and make very cheaply for example using the #RP2040, #RP2350 or the #ESP32.

The disappointing thing is RPi was, to a point still is well documented and supported ecosystem specifically designed for learning. That focus has changed, hence the (slight in some cases aside from RAM prices) price increases.

Focusing on microcontrollers is cheaper , more to learn and absolutely fundamental to understanding s/w & h/w.

The reports about the 'tiger attack' in a UK animal park seem to show little kmowledge of animals. I am NOT an expert, but animals don't just attack people, this individual entered the enclosure, in to the Tigers territory so the Tiger was probably defending.

Even the keepers at Longleat (featured in the series Animal park) know some animals will kill them if they get out of a vehicle, (hence there are procedures if they need to capture an animal for medical reasons).

I am not convinced that animals see humans and think Human, attack. Humans seem to be good at that, attacking other humans for wearing something different (and in 2026 this goes beyond religious clothing)

The same probably goes for sharks, humans enter the water, splash around send the same signals a sharks prey would and the shark acts to eat food.
