hacked 'em! I did another full restore on my phone which seems to have recovered everything except Authy, so I throw Authy in the trash.
Safari's cookies were restored which means I was still logged into Hachyderm, Nintendo, and others, and all of them allowed me to reset my 2fa without having the 2fa. (Surely this is a massive gap, please corpo infosec, this feature must be destroyed for the good of the board)
Bitwarden's TOTP on iOS is *very* nice compared to Authy! Authy, I had to find the correct entry by hand, then copy the code, then paste wherever.
Bitwarden just autofills the form with the current TOTP code. A++++

I recognize this is the ideal outcome for corporate infosec, though. When the burden of access is pushed entirely onto the user -- who is required to carry a secondary, specific, approved device, it frees companies of any risk that they may be at fault.

Authy is asking for an "encryption password" and I don't know what that is nor do I have any memory of what it might be.
I'm missing tons of contacts. I doubt Signal will let me login (the old phone was the only one that I used signal on).

As I struggle to get decent audio recording myself outside, I had a thought… do so many YouTube videos have soft background music to just cover up the environmental noise?! Because… that’s probably a neat trick.

ok it's xml, and I suppose I'll allow this funny decision because it appears to use the same protocol as the http interface.
That said, i was seeking KVM support, but it looks like my machines only have "Intel Standard Management" not the enterprise version, so I only get power and serial-over-lan.
I tried enabling serial-over-lan but the one program I found that could talk to it (amtterm) is too out of date on Fedora 44 to work? My expectations keep dwindling as now I'm just hoping that remote power on/off/reset works...

I would never have expected this, but Intel AMT is communicated with by sending HTTP requests through a device managed by a kernel module.
