A windy and chilly (but not too cold) #FirstDayHike with the family at Claytor Lake State Park. It’s become something of an annual tradition for us. A pleasant 3.5 mile stroll along the lake and then back up and through the hilly forest.

No defensible argument on the second yellow for Bruno Fernandes so I think it’d be a swift, rubber-stamped formality, but I do think second yellow cards should be subject to VAR. The paired yellow cards become a red card and is hugely impactful on the game. All other red card decisions fall under VAR jurisdiction. #fedifc #WOLMUN

#SVK were the better side for 80 minutes and were winning through 94. Harsh sport.
Fitting that the Real Madrid player gets the late winner when his side has been outplayed. Bellingham’s finish was superb.
Southgate has to shuffle the starting lineup if #ENG are to get to the semis. Fortune will not last.

Man City are far and away the better team and deserve the win, but with their quality it should have been a rout. I'm not sure what conclusion to draw since it wasn't, except that it's a shame that it came down to a slip and fall by the last defender.
I was sure KDB would come on at 70' and take over. But not needed, apparently.

Comfortable win for #LFC and no injuries, which is the critical bit. Some loose passing and lapses in concentration when the game was no longer in doubt. Klopp surely won't like that.
Gomez, Endo, Elliot, and Gakpo were all excellent.
Hats off to the #LASK supporters who were singing loudly the entirety of the match.

The smoke has compromised the air quality even way down here in SW VA, although nowhere near what my northern friends are enduring. Still, I opted/settled for #GlobalRunningDay on a treadmill.
Aggravatingly, this one was not even close to being accurate. A constant pace cannot result in lengthening time per kilometer… and yet I had drift of somewhere around 10-15 seconds on some KMs and perhaps even more. No idea how well I ran. Definitely dissatisfied, but I felt alright. I guess.☹️
