Not with a manager of Guardiola’s hunger; with a centre-forward as prolific and inventive as Haaland, a back-heel this time; with a goalkeeper of Donnarumma's calibre; with such strength in depth that they can bring on Marmoush and Foden. And with some good fortune: Brentford can legitimately debate at least one of Matheus Nunes' push on Schade. Your shove is king.
But City dominated second half, deserved winners. It’s not been a Premier League season of the greatest quality compared to others. But it has proved a quality title race. Arsenal have to respond at West Ham on Sunday. #MCFC #MCIBRE

Erling Haaland comes up trumps for Manchester City against Brentford — Pep Guardiola's side leapfrog Arsenal into second, just one point behind Liverpool.

Man City are far and away the better team and deserve the win, but with their quality it should have been a rout. I'm not sure what conclusion to draw since it wasn't, except that it's a shame that it came down to a slip and fall by the last defender.
I was sure KDB would come on at 70' and take over. But not needed, apparently.
