All right, I'll play along with the #FiberuaryChallenge. For day 1, "Hello, it's me", I teach data visualization with textiles at Stanford as part of my digital humanities job. Can often be found posting to #DHmakes. I do a little of almost all fiber things except cross-stitch. I hate that one. 😅

Leaving aside the nature and details of the lawsuit, I'm filing this one away as another example of real-world effects of people's attitudes about English vs. every other language for next time I teach #MultilingualDH.

@foundhistory @tillgrallert @ryancordell There's been #THATCamp since the official program ended, for sure. But I do wonder to what extent this is it for the field.
People are splitting apart, into #DataScience, #ISchool, cultural analytics, the TEI camp, the collections camp. What's the center of "DH" that will hold for a while longer? I think we do have some momentum around a shared core with ACH, but internationally (which is where I personally work), I'm much less certain.
