Can confirm! Do a little pop-up with a loom or a knitting machine or letterpress or spinning wheel and people will come and gawk and it's easy to reel them into trying it from there. #DHmakes

#DHtries => #DHmakes: couldn't get what I wanted printed (paintbrush ink on uninked impression to look like lichen), started cleaning breakers on used paper to finish for day; remembered brayer over uninked impression makes text more visible, cut a stencil, handinked something different that works:

That's what I love about the subculture of @[email protected], AI is not expected or treated as synonymous with progress.
There's the #DHmakes group that looks towards engaging with pre-computer tech in various ways, including understanding data differently. That's where my own interests lie now. -
