I'm walking in the streets of a city. Computers have all died. Everywhere in the world, suddenly. Sun flare, virus, ... ? I don't know, nobody seems to know. Everything has stopped working. People are in the streets, some don't understand what's happening, some panick, some are shocked. Some start plundering shops, some start to organise barricades. The streets are filled with people and garbage. I think I have a usb key and need to push files. That doesn't make sense, there is nowhere to push anymore. Someone sees my key, he shouts, people start chasing me and my key. I run and manage to escape. This leads me to a small park. There are lot of people here too, just sitting on the ground not knowing what to do. There is a pond, with a rock formation on one side. I think I have to jump into the pond from the top of the rocks, I don't know why. I climb the little cliff anyway and prepare to jump. I jump and hit the water smoothly. While I'm under water I can see the inside of the pond, the water is very clear. It's beautiful, but there are lot of rocks under the surface. I think I 'm stupid, I could have hit a rock and died. But the jump wasn't good enough, I have to try it once again. So I go out of the water and start climbing the cliff again. There are people everywhere, among them I notice a small group of people, naked, wearing only some kind of black jackets from/to which tens of cables are connected. Their head is hidden inside VR headset. They are the relics of the technological world, the only ones who still have a piece of working technology and live in virtuality. One invite me to join them. I wear the equipment, loose sight of the real world and fall into a flow of data. I get scared and want to escape, remove the headset. A guy who seems to be the leader of the group warn I can't leave the group once I've entered. I back off while biting the cables of the equipment in rage. The techno guys get crazy at me, threaten me. I realise that when I bite the cables it transmits as physical pain to them through the virtual world. I bite even harder to keep them away but they charge on me. I flee, fall in the rocks, scream. And that's where I wake up terrified in the middle of the night.

  9. Me: feeling completely lost and wondering what I am doing here as #japan follows the global trend toward #xenophobia #hate and #extremism with a new prime minister described as #farright #ultranationalist , nicknamed 'taliban' by the previous PM, known for her #negationism , #crackdown on #journalism , praise for Hitler, and links to #neonazi party leader or #fascist organisation.

Wife: I'm happy it's our first women prime minister, I think we can expect a lot from her.

Mood is all time high 👍👍👍

  10. I need a new office chair. I'm spending my days at my desk programming, thus looking for a good one and ok to invest some money into it. But not interesting in gaming chairs. Any recommendations ?

  11. Slow pace Sunday afternoon at Narabigaoka. Perfect weather, neither cold neither hot. A bit windy. The top of the third hill is naked and offers a nice view on Arashiyama on the left and the mont Jouju on the right. There are always butterflies here resting on the ground. I wonder if they are sunbathing, or if the ground here contains something special that attracts them. The fence on the left protects the entrance of a tumulus right below my feet. The Narabigaoka hills contain several of them, and they are also known to be the place where some famous scholar decided to live in reclusion. It's a nice place for a short walk, very easy level, easy enough for a child while hard enough to give him a little sense of adventure. Easy access from Hanazono station.

Easy win for France. The rest of the World didn't even show up. They knew they had zero chance. 😛
