Australian audio artist and Cream magazine editor Antonino Tati trawls the internet to find great soundbytes that he then layers over alternative mixes of great songs.

The Ultimate Eurythmics Archives calls it “a series of imaginative audio collages that feel part remix, part radio drama, and part pop culture time capsule,” while the series has also been acknowledged by the David Bowie fan site maggioreonbowie.com and other music sites.

Each day a new track is added, building up to a compilation of songs that go beyond the normal parameters of music mixing.

And each track is an awesome head trip. Good to show off on the playlist. The music featured is varied, with Volume 02 containing mixes of songs by Soulwax, Kate Bush, David Bowie, R.E.M., Air, Lily Allen, Taylor Swift, Malcolm McLaren, and more.

Today’s addition is Tori Amos’ masterful ode, God, to which has been added a sermon courtesy of a rather zealous late night televangelist.

Slip on a pair of earbuds or ‘phones and be transported into worlds of aural delight and mad sonic adventure. A musical universe where cool beats are paired with vintage educational fodder, insane radio ads of the 1950s, and classic film quotes.

Sans destin royal : William révèle son rêve de jeunesse

Enfant, le prince William voulait devenir policier, puis DJ. L'héritier du trône britannique avait même trouvé un nom d'artiste. Mais il n'a jamais mixé.

"In that context, I no longer feel inspired to contribute to a commons that’s being strip-mined by massive corporations to feed the very machines whose unthinking output pollutes it. When people claim that it’s no longer sustainable to write code by hand, they’re not entirely wrong, but only in the same way that it’s no longer sustainable to sleep in a bed once someone has taken a shit in it.

You want changes? Go ask your agent or something. I’m told that’s what you’re supposed to do now. I’m out."

A bleak grey a soft grey and early traces of neon. Friday late focus music. https://soundcloud.com/neoraunch/neo-raunch-neu-romancer Beautifully pale. Mixes starting with Depeche Mode can't probably be bad in any way. Lots of tracks recognized, a lot of them not played in a while. #soundcloud #neuromancer #neo_raunch #music_for_afternoons

I could use some help this week. My phone is about to be disconnected and I'm trying to keep service on until a freelance payment clears at the end of the month. It's $33.66. I'm also out of the sodas and drink mixes that make things here feel a bit more bearable. If you can spare anything, one-time tips help cover both: ko-fi.com/rarebird15 and paypal.me/LanieM. Thank you to everyone who's been able to help.

Book Review: Get Ahead of Being Dead by Evie King

https://shkspr.mobi/blog/2026/10/book-review-get-ahead-of-being-dead-by-evie-king/

After reading Evie King's previous book Ashes To Admin - Tales from the Caseload of a Council Funeral Officer I was eager to read her not-quite-a-sequel.

We know what happens after death; paperwork. Gas bills need to be cancelled, funeral wishes need to be carried out, money needs to be apportioned between warring family members. When you die, you won't be there to experience the annoyance and distress - but other people will. So do you help them or not?

This book is a chatty and informal guide to how to set out your wishes - including that you have no wishes.

Much like her previous book, it cheerfully mixes anecdotes about death with a powerful political message about how we treat the dead (and, I suppose, nearly dead).

It is one of those rare eBooks which is probably better as a paper book because the end of every chapter has a few dozen questions to fill in. Some are seemingly banal (library card number) and other potentially a little distressing (who do you not want invited to your funeral). The aim is to keep the answers somewhere prominent so that, come the inevitable, there's a one-stop-shop for all your deadmin.

Evie does an excellent job of making the slightly terrifying first steps accessible and approachable. It's fully trans, non-binary, and poly inclusive. It doesn't shy away from some of the more uncomfortable aspects of death, but it really does feel like the author is having a coffee & natter with you.

The style won't be for everyone. I think I'd rather have this as just a plain list of questions. But, then again, I did find it compelling to read the stories about what happens when things go wrong. So maybe I don't know myself as well as I think. Say, what song do I want playing at my funeral?

There's no doubt this is a slightly challenging and provocative read - but you should absolutely buy a copy for yourself and fill it in. Whether you buy it for your friends and relatives…

Antonino X Air – Kelly Watch The Stars (Charlie’s Angel’s Packing Heat Edit) FREE MUSIC DOWNLOAD

Found Objects celebrates the return of the remix and the art of sampling (ie: found audio). Australian audio artist and Cream magazine editor Antonino Tati layers words of wit (and occasional dimwittedness) over alternative, preloved mixes of songs. As the Ultimate Eurythmics Archives writes, “it’s a series of imaginative audio collages that feel part remix, part radio drama, and part pop culture time capsule.” The series has also been acknowledged by David Bowie fan site maggioreonbowie.com.

Each day a new track will be added, building up to a compilation of remixes that go beyond the normal parameters of music mixing.

Each track is an awesome head trip. Good to show off on the playlist. And the music featured is varied, with Volume 02 containing reproductions of mixes of songs by Soulwax, Kate Bush, David Bowie, Tori Amos, R.E.M., Air, Les Rythmes Digitales, Lily Allen, Malcolm McLaren, and more.

Slip on a pair of earbuds or headphones and be transported into worlds of aural delight and mad sonic adventure. A musical universe where cool beats are paired with snippets of vintage educational, fun radio ads of the ’60s, and classic film quotes from the ’50s and beyond.

Next up in Volume 2 is French duo air and their song Kelly Watch The Stars. The duo wrote the song in tribute to ‘Kelly’ from the original Charlies Angels television series. Therefore cool dialogue courtesy of Kelly and company just had to be added to colour up the original Air mix.

Credits rolling on #TwilightPrincess, finally removing the game from the backlog, where it had been sitting for 20 years.

As I mentioned the other day, the dungeon design in this game is superb. My only complaint is that rewards in chests were extremely underwhelming. Going out of your way to open several chests only to find rupees over and over again, even when I had already maxed them out and I couldn't take any more didn't feel great.

But other than that and the final boss feeling a bit too short and simple? Brilliant game.
