Quienes entraron a instancias sociales/generales y no encuentran información muy afín en su timeline #local recuerden que pueden migrar a instancias más afines a sus conversaciones. De todas formas por el timeline de #Federada pueden ver los servidores relacionados con el suyo.
Chequen en https://instances.social/ su afinidad por territorio o por temáticas y el volumen de personas en cada instancia.
Aplica también si siente que #Mastodon va lento... es porque su servidor está full.

Little reminder to newer Fedi folks to occasionally click "View original page" when looking at remote posts.
Doing this lets you see:
• Actual interaction counts
Instead of just what's known by your local instance.
• All the replies on the post
The protocol doesn't fully federate replies, and you can loose parts of the conversation.
• Missing context
1. Mastodon is one of many Fediverse applications, and many other software like Misskey and Akkoma can use special text formatting features like MFM.
2. Another thing is small special features like being able to post galleries of videos, which may not be supported by your local instance.
3. Alt-text can sometimes not update for other instances, such as Misskey being able to edit a post's attachment description afterwards.
The Fediverse is very diverse.
Sometimes that can be a weakness for the protocol, because not everyone sees the same things across different devices and software. But anyone can contribute and help make more standards get put in-place for software to take advantage of, so help grow it by sharing the tips you know to get around the network!

Many instances are officially closed to new members, but still allow sign-ups through invitations from existing members.
