Aaaaand now the #Ubuntu 24.04.4 server installer kernel panics when it gets to where it asks you for username, servername, etc.
I'm sure a .5 will come out soon but... Disappointing.
Or maybe it's my machine? I hope to heck not. It's only a few months old i9 from #beelink which I've had outstanding luck with thus far.

Been at it with the #homelab again! Was inspired by @technotim and stood up #hompage and it's pretty dope and highly customizable. I still need to attack this two legs in separate network thing. I have pretty locked up on #NetBird , but not on my physical network. Thinking of maybe going back to #OVN but then I need bgp to advertise shit. I wanted to keep all the acl in software.
Any Yall know how to firewall linux bridges?

Every decade or so, I let my guard down and work myself up to believe that maybe, just maybe, if I'm struggling so much with deadlines and multiple tasks, it's because I'm just missing the right software. In a bout of technoptimism, I end up trying the latest task manager that everyone's so excited about. Then a week or two later, I realize the obvious: no code will save me. The problem is elsewhere entirely.

Igrzyska Olimpijskie to najstarsza i największa międzynarodowa impreza sportowa, organizowana co 4 lata. W tym roku igrzyska odbywają się w Paryżu i startują 26 lipca. Paryż żyje tym wydarzeniem. Miasto zablokowane i rozkopane, ale widać już światełko w tunelu i za tydzień powinni być gotowi. Jakość wody potwierdziła nawet sama mer Paryża, Anne Hidalgo, która wykąpała się w rzece i… nic się jej nie stało!

@vkc your recent video on ditching streaming is resonating deeply with me! I've been on #jellyfin / #finamp for about 6 months now and have loved every second of it.
At first, I was a bit annoyed by the exact mental difficulty I was presented with when looking at my library and having to actually chose what I wanted to listen to, but I've since learned that this is actually a good thing! Im no longer cognitive offloading (real term I recently learned) my choice in media to an algo! Woohoo!

Got the chance to hear and meet Karen Hao today at the her #umich guest lecture. She provides an exceptional account of how the insanities of #AI have taken hold in the US, and many grounded ideas into how we can resist and govern their existence, in her book "Empire of AI."
As she mentions in the book and in her lecture, the future is not predictable, nor should it be. We as technologists should be reactive and attentive to change, and shape our systems of technology in response. @karenhao
