My first byline! I made #DataViz for an excellent accountability piece by Emily Rizzo for the Kensington Voice abt a Philly initiative that targets & arrests unhoused people who use drugs in Kensington. Emily collected & analyzed original data for 87 people bc the City won't provide evidence of the program's effectiveness. TL;DR the most common outcome for folks pushed through "Wellness Court" is the City loses contact w them & they receive a bench warrant #ddj https://www.kensingtonvoice.com/new-fast-track-court-for-kensington-lands-most-with-warrants-back-into-the-cycle-of-addiction-and-homelessness

🎙️ #Podcast alert! Last year I had the pleasure of chatting with @dgkeyes at R for the Rest of Us about making #HTML #slides with the help of the #RStats #xaringan package
Give the episode a listen at https://share.transistor.fm/s/fab44489
And if you want to learn how to make your own xaringan slides, check out the companion chapter "Create beautiful presentations with R Markdown" in David's book R Without Statistics https://book.rwithoutstatistics.com/presentations-chapter.html

I gave a brief talk at #CANSSI Ontario yesterday on what I've been learning from #RStats and #RSpatial folks about interactive map-making w large vector data (e.g. 200k+ features)

I added a bonus slide after the talk to include excellent feedback from attendees 🙌Thanks @rohanalexander for the nudge to submit & @michaeldorman84, Sharla, Ana, @milesmcbain and @vb_jens for offering suggestions featured in the slides :blobcatbaguettehero:
