Other games: Cinema like trailers costing millions of dollar.
#Satisfactory: Look at my trains!
I didn't read the full changelog yet but I've read that you can build truck-routes like tracks. This will improve the game a lot!

[Blog] Primitive types like strings and numbers seem simple, but they often hide intent and invite mistakes. This article explores why values need meaning, how custom types improve validation and type safety and when the extra structure makes your code clearer, safer and more robust..

I just discovered yesterday, that @obsidian changed their plugin-strategy (listing, review etc).
I like the scorecards a lot and it's awesome that you can run the check on specific branches.
As a plugin developer, this is very handy and more intuitive as the PR on Github. Sometimes I had issues to trigger the review and re-created PRs as a workaround. -
Why do people still use #Waste11? I have a valid license. I can install the software in a virtual machine. A typo was highlighted as "invalid key" during installation.
There are plenty of functions deactivated, because Microslob can't "activate" the software.
And the "troubleshooter" just tells me: "F-you. License can't be used to activate windows. Please contact your reseller."I hate Windows. Pure crapware, spyware and adware. Not more, not less.

#waste11
Happy Birthday #cryptomator 🥳
I'm using it for many years and happy to be a supporter. It's such a great tool and works across all platforms (for me: Mac and Linux) -
My notebook is already sh*t and the CPU usually on 90%+ during the whole day.
Today I've learned that Copilot takes around 20% CPU while I've never used it. Nice.
Make a bad device even worse. Big thanks to Microsoft and the IT-Department -
Who wants the ad bar in the bottom left corner of #waste11? Wtf Microsoft.
-
Nice: When you manipulate the registry to have the cool, condensed and nice "alt tab window" instead of the monstrous images, you get no alt-tab window at all.
I hate #Waste11 so much. Every day a little bit more.
Why are people still using this? -
I'm trying to fix a "non existing issue" for some hours. What is my issue?
My issue is, that 7z is too good to be true. It can open everything and even "invalid" zip files.
What is invalid? It seems that some closing bytes were missing which caused many issues to read them via code.Interesting here: The Windows Explorer has some issues, too, to open the zip-file and shows an error message.
I guess cross-checking the files you're creating is a good thing to do..

And this is why i *love* #waste11
Nearly every 2 weeks I'm unable to login because the screen gets blurred but Windows is unable to show a text box.
I just want to login, screen gets blurred. After a few minutes it gets back to the previous screen. I want to login. Screen gets blurred. After a few minutes it gets back to the previous screen…Sometimes I have to reboot the computer multiple times to be able to get a text box.
This must be the high quality I was promised I guess.. -
Windows 11 is the only OS I know, which is incapable to show a textbox where I can enter a password.
The lock-screen switches to the "blurry background state" without showing anything. After 20-30 seconds it goes back and I have no opportunity to authenticate myself.
Wow. Just wow.. -
Other people: Yay updates, I wonder what is new.
Me (using #waste11): Let's see what's broken now.

Late but better than never:
The current context menu of my Windows. And no: I didn't cropped textfiles away. "Compressed folder" is the last entry.
-
Today I noticed that Windows 11 doesn't let me create text files anymore. The entry was purged from the context menu (right mouse click > new > text document).
Now: I have to open the editor first and create the file or copy another text file and rename it.. I'm so happy about it because the function was handy.I don't know when Microsoft decided that plaintext is evil and should be banished because I need the entry with varying frequency.

I've never had this before but the Windows 11 PC says: It's 09:04 o'clock. Ehmm... sure.. yes...
-
Wow: Another Windows Update. Another computer where completely unrelated settings (here: Desktop Background) has been changed.
I'm tired of this crapware…

For decades I'm a guy who enables "show ALL tray icons" in every version of Windows I've used.
Windows 11 is so comfortable that I have to enable and disable each icon myself so that it is shown on the main bar and not hidden behind the ugly arrow.
As a bonus: Why should Windows sort their names so you can find it easy?
Best OS ever. I mean: Who the hell has EVER criticized that "show all icons" is bad and should be removed. WHO?!!!11eleven! -
Sometimes people ask me, why do I always have such strange bugs using #waste11, because they have barely any bug.
Today I present you a new one I didn't saw before: The shutdown-menu which opens *behind* the task bar.
Closing Excel in the background didn't helped. Using left mouse button or right mouse button has no effect.
Close and open the start menu didn't help either. So I think this is working as intended. Repaired by reboot.

Me: Creates a file
Also me: Tries to delete the file.
Windows 11: You have no rights to delete this file. You must be [user]
Me: But i am [user]!
Windows: Sorry mate. Can't do anything.
Me: Reboots and waits 5 minutes until I can login again..
Still the same quality as Windows 10 which is in pre alpha preview state and never left it.

When you disable "snap windows" the shortcut Win + Shift + Arrow does not work to move your windows to another display.
I guess Windows 11 has no QA-Team anymore.. Sure: disabled snapping means I can't move windows around with pre-defined keyboard commands. Wow..And I just found this out because the black bar at the top of the display, when you move a window by hand, annoys me a lot!

Windows 11 should have no tab feature at all in its Explorer. It makes the whole experience worse than if there were no tabs at all..
And you can't even configure the behavior. So it's just annoying crap because I still have to use ctrl + N to work properly.. Just wow.
