Out & about in #Lansdowne today. Stopped by Scrappy Cat, only the best shop in the world - if you haven't been, and you're local, you must check it out. Also happened upon this great Halloween yard. I was especially struck by the giant skeletal dinos, which I haven't seen anywhere else.

Yesterday, I got to do one of my favorite things as an English teacher: traumatize an entire classroom of kids. We're reading The Giver, and we got to the part where Jonas (and all but the most discerning of readers) discovers what 'release' means. The shocked faces fed my soul.
