IanTwenty has moved

Thanks to #Sigal for a quick and easy way to share photos with visitors (using #FOSS). It creates a static website from a dir of photos, that's it.
People on your home network can easily browse through your holiday snaps and when you're finished just shut the whole thing down. A lot of other photo software has other bells and whistles but when you just need something simple in a hurry try Sigal!

With GNOME looking to remove X.Org support I see a few folks wondering what's holding some of us back from moving to wayland. Let me add my reason.

A small but important class of applications need to either: register global shortcuts and/or query the currently open windows. At the moment this cannot be done in Wayland (yet).
