In light of AI partnerships by #StackOverflow, #Reddit, &c w/OpenAI, we at #Codidact have gotten questions from our community about our intentions. Official board response: https://meta.codidact.com/posts/291599

We do not see how such a partnership could benefit our users[...] If we were to receive a proposal that we feel could benefit the community, we commit to discussing it openly and transparently..."

@[email protected] @Codeberg we think there's an opportunity for folks to take what we learned on #StackOverflow and elsewhere and build a new & better place. Some SO/SE users brought over some of their work & then *improved* it on #Codidact, so we have the best version. We want to help folks solve the problems they're having now, which might not be the ones folks had in 2009. We're trying new things to supplement Q&A. It's a chance to try ideas in a fresh setting where we can modify the platform as needed.

We have revamped our process for proposing new #communities for our #Codidact network. Now instead of just telling us about it and waiting for people to express interest, you can get started by asking and answering questions, refining the proposal and building community in the process.
