  1. I did a pro bono consult and am left with a bit of a dilemma, so tell me , what would you do. 7yo girl attends a middle class . A 1st grade boy repeatedly enters the girl's bathroom and taunts the girl's as he looks at them under the doors. After the girl's privacy had been violated a number of times over weeks, she finally kicked the boy in the face the last time, as he was peering at her. Girl is developmentally delayed and school punished her, not 1/2

  2. Buried in this article abt the 6yo boy who shot his is this telling statement about the child's "care plan". Clearly the school failed to provide if they were requiring the parents to chaperone their child throughout the day. I'm not a fan of more restrictive environments for young , but if a doesn't have the resources to ensure a safe environment for all kids under their care, then a change should have been made.

  3. and often forget that intellectual maturity does NOT equal with highly and profoundly kids. Instead of pathologizing normal behavior, the adults in the room need to re-evaluate their own expectations and provide support (if even necessary) to kids who are just being kids.

  4. Always grateful for friends who don't blink an eye when I say, "Hey, you have a dead on your deck. Do you have a bag so I can have it?"

  5. @mguhlin @edutooter
Can you share a little about the Depth and Complexity framework and what exactly the five Content Imperatives: Origin, Parallel, Contribution, Convergence, and Paradox are?

  6. @bigideasineducation I've written & taught state-approved CEU classes for early chidhood professionals, but I'm taking some time off from FT professional work. Still looking to connect with other in the and fields.
