1954年 一架#曼谷 飞#香港 的#国泰航空 飞机在#海南岛 东部的国际航线上，被#解放军 的两架战机击落，事发后，中方未参与救援，#英国 飞机因为浪大无法降落，最后是被中方警告不得参与救援的#美军 从#菲律宾 起飞的飞机就起来落水人员，机上总共18人，10人死亡，三天后，中美爆发空战，两架解放军飞机被击落
救援时，美军的#大黄蜂号航母 也参与了，当时局势紧张，一触即发，中国击落#民航，算是是给美国航母打击群绝好的打击理由；据说，三天后两架解放军飞机就是奉命去送死的，以平息局势，当时的中方思维很简单：你有损失我们也有损失就拉平了，大家各退一步，当时政务院总理#周恩来 亲自下的令。
