Expected a BzMot judging from the station but got a modern DMU. Very limited bike space, broken AC so that it’s warmer than outside, plus humid. No windows to open of course.

Seems like ZSSK is also an advertisement for the car industry :(

#Bratislava 🇸🇰 hl.st. is a meeting point for #Siemens #Vectron electrics hauling passenger trains, it seems. Within just an hour today, I spotted an #ÖBB 🇦🇹 Class 1293, a #ČD 🇨🇿 Class 384, some #ZSSK Class 383 and a #Railpool Class (7)193 in #LeoExpress livery, the loco being registered in Germany 🇩🇪.

Za hlavný problém chybovosti považujú rušňovodiči aj naďalej systémové zlyhania, no nevylučujú ani pochybenia na strane rušňovodičov.

Die Zahlen der heutigen Tour lauten: 0 – 113 – 2 – 0 – 20 – 87 – 500. Null Kilometer beim heurigen Festive500 hat Ulrich bis jetzt, ich hingegen habe schon 113 und damit einen Vorsprung. Also müssen wir bei einer Tageshöchsttemperatur von 2 Grad heute raus und Kilometer sammeln. Immerhin waren es schön sonnige 2 Grad bei 0 cm Schneehöhe im Nordburgenland. The #ZSSK runs a relatively small narrow-gauge network in the Tatra mountains. It uses Stadler trains for it: built in 2000 but recently refurbished.

Does someone know if the Pendolino SuperCity trains are still running to Košice? Couldn’t find it in the timetables but maybe I am overlooking it. #ZSSK

The EX trains Košice - Bratislava do not require reservations when on Interrail second class. But some carriages are reservation compulsory.

ZSSK at Žilina station is a complete shit show. Departure platforms are consistently announced very late. In our case 4 minutes before departure leading to a massive scrum to get to the train.
With Sacha's disabilities and the lack of lift or escalators - well, it wouldn't have been our fault if we had caused a departure delay. (We didn't but it left before we'd sat down).

Equally unimpressed at the moment with #regiojet - no luggage space in 'Business Class' and the conductor made a big deal of his failure to scan our #interrail passes (not my fault - it's your equipment).
And - while I'm on a roll - what's with the frosting on the compartment corridor glass so that I can't see the scenery except through the window?

I'll calm down in a bit!

Hmm. In #OpenStreetMap #OSM the railway line between Lučenec and Fiľakovo is marked as "under construction" (and #OpenRailwayMap also shows electrification ongoing). But according to the planner of #ZSSK trains are just running via that line. Outdated information in OpenStreetMap? Or someone mistakenly marked it under construction while only electrification is plannend?
