The first game I ever worked on is DONE!!! Purple, a queer as heck visual novel, is now available for free on Itch.io!
Thanks to the help of @cai_disneyfemslash and @mayazimmerman we've made something truly special with quite the art style to boot. You can even download just the art pack to look at all the gorgeous PC Paintbrush pictures used for the game.

Alright, it's yuri game jam script writing day! I have enough energy to possibly be creative and the perfect long vid to pop on in the background.
This is probably the first time I've written anything close to fiction in a long while, it's gonna be healing tbh.

I've taken @cai_disneyfemslash's incredible art and have started implementing it! We decided to use the art program's UI as our own to keep the vibes strong. Now I can write the entire scene for Pink so we're ready to rumble!
My amazing partner and the artist for the game @cai_disneyfemslash is doing all of the art in PC Paintbrush, a program on DOS made back in 1984!
This is their first picture of Pink, one of two main protagonists/love interests in our little yuri tale. Doesn't this art look stunning?!?
Edit: This is why you have to complain about computer issues on the internet, because the solution will appear immediately after! The solution being... Just try one more time. I wish I was joking. I just gave it one more go in the exact same way and it worked this time. WTF?!?
Running into a baffling issue! But what else can you expect when trying to run such an old art program...
When I emulate it in Dosbox-X, the mouse won't function correctly. When a friend does it, the mouse works fine! We both did things the EXACT same way, it's just... I guess my mouse? I still can't figure it out!
You can emulate PC Paintbrush on the Internet Archive and it works just heckin fine, but I try to use it on my PC and suddenly nothing works lmao.
If anyone has insights, I'd happily take them at this point, this is what I'm working with!
