I've never done art based on my shiny bat VR Chat avatar so I figured to do it for once, and maybe some of these changes will transfer to the regular bat too like wow maybe I'll finally include the propatagium, the membrane between the hand and body on the top side of the arm, on the regular bat 'cus that looks REALLY cool and cape-like. (Technically I should be drawing it on any creature that flies, even DO, but it's an extra detail that can make things a little messier to work with etc. and is also kind of easy to forget lol)
The propatagium is also kind of based on how Morghus has it on his wyvern and bat with it connecting more along the chest than completely running along the top and hooking over a bit.

It's Pokémon Day and I wanted to do something I guess! It's also the first test of "Am I back to speed doing art on my PC since the whole technically homeless escapade?" which I think the answer is yes.
The other reason is that ObstaDO (this is a much better name why did I keep calling it ObstaDOon other than an obsessive attempt to try and match the full name? :V) hasn't been the face of my AD accounts elsewhere despite being the username (GoopGoonThing) so I'm fixing this.

SO it came up about raichus and I mentioned I've not done art of DOchu in YEARS so I figured I'd remake a pic from 2019
There's no other deepness to this actually that's a lie, I've decided that the more DOchu uses goop abilities (e.g. big goopy hands) the less consistent it is, which is why on the 4th one all of it is shiny and drippy. Otherwise it's usually still fluffy in non grey/yellow parts (though the cheeks are still fluffy).

Inked commission for Aira of a continuation of a piece I did during my art-a-day challenge in 2015 (https://darkoverord.info/2015/05/30/2015-05-30-darkoverord-150365-darkoverord/) featuring my robot dragon, DK-0VD-D4M-C40000 (https://darkoverord.info/characters/dk-0vd-d4m-c40000/), assembling a robot suit around the blue fox.
Fun to revisit it in two regards, 1) DK-0VD is significantly taller now meaning I had to kind of make Aira looked dwarfed by their new soon to be look, 2) I don't get chance to draw DK-0VD much mostly on account of it having a lot of detail work. Like, a lot a lot. I could shortcut parts in this piece due to how it's done (they're identical, it's from a point of view dead on them both, and so on) but if it was a piece more dynamic (action, fighting, etc.) it'd be a loooooot longer to do than it took (which as always with DK-0VD I underestimate).
Inked pieces like this are also good to do with it because you can have fun with the detailing work without worrying too much about rendering it all, like how I think one of my best pieces in Inktober 2019, Build (https://darkoverord.info/2019/10/05/inktober-2019-05-build/), went.
I'm very happy with this piece overall!

Fun character fact: Simon's birthday has always been Christmas Day, or if I eventually decide if in OC canon that isn't applicable it'll be the Winter Solstice. Simon, and its twin, do have a smidge of resentment for effectively having the "forgotten family birthday". Maybe since turning Simon doesn't care, or can make people properly say happy birthday.
(Anyway my birthday is in summer just to clarify that XD)

When I emulate it in Dosbox-X, the mouse won't function correctly. When a friend does it, the mouse works fine! We both did things the EXACT same way, it's just... I guess my mouse? I still can't figure it out!
You can emulate PC Paintbrush on the Internet Archive and it works just heckin fine, but I try to use it on my PC and suddenly nothing works lmao.
If anyone has insights, I'd happily take them at this point, this is what I'm working with!
