I’ve just registered for the #MMEE #conference (mathematical models in #ecology and #evolution) that is going to take place in #Cork in July. Who else is coming? Please say hi, I’m very much looking forward to meeting you!

🚨 Save the date! 🚨
The next @YoMosEco / #YoMos workshop for young modellers in ecology will be held from 25th-29th May at the AWI Guesthouse Möbius on the island Sylt. Are you a BSc/MSc/PhD student interested in #EcologicalModelling and/or #TheoreticalEcology? Then don't think twice, this is certainly THE meeting to atttend.

@RosyMaths
Then the #LunchBoxModels seminar series (see link below) could also be of interest! And of course the whole #YoMos community @YoMosEco. They have an email list with lots of announcements, registration is for free! -
#seminar alert! ⏰
Next Tuesday, Frank Hilker from the University of Osnabrück will give a talk in our Ecology Colloquium entitled
"To connect or not connect isolated patches: Total population abundance and failed rescue effects in fragmented landscapes".
Everyone welcome, either in person or via Zoom, the more the merrier! 😀

Hello dear fellow modellers, it's time to plan the next conference season! Anyone planning to attend the #MPDEE in Leicester next year? If yes, shall we propose a minisymposium together?
I was thinking about something in the direction of #EcologicalNetworks and/or #EcoEvoFeedback and/or #EvolutionaryRescue but that's still a very uncooked idea...

🍱 Lunchbox Models seminar series is launching next Wednesday! A few thoughts on how this fits into the trajectory of @YoMosEco and the community we aim to build there:

Next big announcement for YoMos is coming tomorrow! Heavy spoilers on our homepage already 😅 Everything is happening all at once at the moment, but so far only great news!

Hi everyone,
For our next institute's #seminar # (Thursday, 14:15 CET) I've invited Christian Guill and Louica Philipp (@Louzula) from Potsdam University. They will explain how self-organised pattern formation supports #diversity in trophic #metacommunities.
It's going to be a hybrid seminar. Please let me know in case you would like to join, so I can forward the zoom link via DM!
