Mein #Gnome unter #OpenSuse ist kaputt, weil ich so lange keine Updates mehr eingespielt hatte.
Hab dann einen neuen Desktop installiert, weil ich sonst keinen grafischen Desktop mehr hatte.
Wie kann ich Gnome reparieren?
Reicht es, wenn ich über #YAST Gnome (Basic) und Gnome (Wayland) lösche und neu installiere oder mache ich damit ggf. mehr kaputt?Welches von den beiden Gnome benötige ich?

Hirn sein komisch.
Plötzlich muss ich an Lehmanns Online Bibliothek denken und an all die #SuSE-Editionen, die ich damals dort bestellt hatte.
Bevor ich keine Lust mehr auf #yast als gui statt als ncurses hatte, weil ich für eine graphische Systemsteuerung auch Windows hätte nutzen könnte. Ich bin dann auf #gentoo umgestiegen. Beste Entscheidung ever!

Mit #OpenSUSE Leap 16.0 sind dann erfolgreich die meisten Distinktionsmerkmale (insbesondere #yast) aus der Distribution bzw. Standardinstallation eliminiert worden. Ich kann mir keine bessere Strategie vorstellen, eine Distribution in der Bedeutungslosigkeit zu versenken. Aus Nostalgiegründen hier ein Screenshot aus für SuSE besseren Zeiten.

Agama, openSUSE's new installer, just dropped v.16. There's a lot of nice additions to the new version but the one that stands out is the addition of several openSUSE products on the selection list, including Kalpa, the kde version of MicroOS.

Praxistipp: openSUSE 15.6 und Okular Drucken:
In Okular ist aus Sicherheitsgründen der ps-Treiber standardmäßig nicht installiert. Daher bei Druck von sicheren PDFs "okular-spectre" via yast nachinstallieren.
Wichtig für Leute, die keine Bahn-App verwenden wollen:
Bei Ausdrucken mit QR-Code ist im Okular Druckdialog unter pdf-Optionen noch "Rasterung erzwingen" anzuhaken. Dann funktioniert auch das Drucken von pdf wie z.B. Bahnkarten in Okular.
