[P] It's just... The dewosu is so very much an incel demonising femininity. There's just too many tells. The whole thing with her showing Eva her eggs. It just really... It winds me up because I fail to learn the same lesson. Stick to books and indie games, sometimes comic books can be okay,—they don't seem too tainted, for now. I need to learn that the stink of corporation on something is always going to be bad for me. It keeps being true.

[P] I think I'll understand more as I calm down more, but another facet of the Dewosu is that she's a mother. There's an aspect of sexism and demonising femininity present there, like a guy projecting his fear of women. But anyone in the field of research will tell you that stabbing is a very masculine thing, it pulls on sexual frustrations. It's why the robots in Metroid Dread just made me sigh. There's this incel vibe to it, in a way that's just so corporate.

[P] Ever the dragon; Never the slayer. We choose to not be monsters. See, what makes one an outsider, not of hiverarchy, is the willingness to confront any evil within—the opposite of a hiverarchian who only ever projects it out. It's about having the awareness to know the terrible acts within one's own power to commit, and then choosing every time to not act upon them—instead of acting upon them and blaming someone else. I'm so sick of hiverarchy.

[P] I admit, this fearful xenophobia does tweak me. And the application of very human traits (such as sociopathic deception, Machiavellian scheming, and narcissism) to that which isn't very human. It's just xenophobia. It's the thing that makes me very angry. It's the hiverarchian projecting their own evil at the immigrant, the diaabled, the homeless, the different, the dissimilar. I can't think of anything more typically hiverarchian than that.

[P] It's not even that animals can't be cunning, but that... luring someone in with a winsome smile while carrying a dagger behind their back? That kind of deception is uniquely human, for as much as I've seen. A luxiry for predators at the top of the food chain. It's also a kind of xenophobia that's so human, too. All the horrible thinga the hiverarchian human could imagine doing to their foes is absolutely something their foes are thinking of doing first.

[P] Nope, not everything is like that! You've got capybaras, manatees, stingrays, and even predators who're chill and intelligent enough to seek allies. Just as there're those wo run with their extended families. It's just that due to the nature of a predator-prey world, everyone has to be pretty damn sincere about their motivations. The kind of deception on display with the Dawosu is a human thing, a human sociopath thing. And that grinds my gears.

[P] The critter was friendly, showed that she was just guarding her young. So far so good. Except it was all a ruse, while the creature slowly expressed her strength for a slow kill. I've never witnessed anything in nature that behaves like that, it's folly. You're leaving yourself open to predators by just standing around like that. In nature, everything is fast because it has to be. Murderworld is an unfortunate aspect of life on earth.

[P] Damn it. Wondla did me dirty, the books too for that matter. I mean, sure, the first season was a very shallow take on the books, but it was fun enough! Oh, the second season, though. There was no Dawosu in the books, no far-right Lessons (the name of the episode) promoting dim-witted xenophobia. I was hopwful for a moment, there, but of course the beautiful moth creature was evil. It was so insidiously handled, though. That's what really got me.
