I created jewelry while sitting with mom
for 5 years
as I was taking care of her. After she passed I tried to create pieces, but sitting down and touching the wires just reminded me she was no longer here.
Honoring her memory and healing that griefy place in my heart by taking small steps.
*Goal this week is to make one pair of fun earrings by Sunday the 19 th by 8 pm.

J'ai terminé le bracelet en modules égyptiens ronds !
Décidément ce fil de cuivre est beaucoup trop épais, je me suis vraiment ruiné les mains à essayer de le plier. Notre part il y a plusieurs raideurs de cuivre et celui-ci n'est pas parmi les plus souples ><.
Le résultat est un peu trop épais pour ce que je porte mais ça rend quand même plutôt bien !
Sometimes, I get all twisty with copper wire. A necklace I made once. Turquoise beads, copper spiral, and a dyed to look turquoise bottom drop. I got kind of fascinated with the double spiral motif, especially knowing that design pops up in Bronze Age Egypt (ancient history nerd, me). Not a repro, just borrowing elements.
