BTW: the #installers via #winget were redirected to #GitHub. This should enhance the download speed a lot.

The mirrors at @sourceforge were not reliable yesterday (only one was available) resulting in painful slow download speeds here in Europ. It is imperative that this is not acceptable one day after a new #release.

At least the standard #NumeRe #installer is now available via #winget.

There seem to be problems with the portable one, which we do not really understand, because the contents of both installers are identical, only the installation process is different with the standard one requiring elevation.

The publication of the #NumeRe #release to #winget takes again some time, as they seem to have problems with our installer - which should work perfectly fine - at least it does on our various testing machines.

Aptivi Choco Pack is now Aptivi Packaging

When we started making packages for our applications, we resorted to making Chocolatey packaging for our applications, such as Nitrocid and BassBoom. This was made in an effort to make installation of our applications easier and simpler, complete with documentation.

We have earlier introduced WinGet packaging for our applications, such as Nitrocid and BassBoom earlier this year to provide an easy way to install them, knowing that WinGet is shipped with Windows 11 as a built-in system component.

Now, we are very excited to announce that the Choco Pack organization on GItHub has been renamed to Aptivi Packaging!

This was done to better reflect its purpose as a repository for our packaging efforts for our applications, with more to come. Right now, you can access this organization to view two repositories: WinGet and Chocolatey metadata packages.

Like right now I (@ghuntley) am working on a M1 mac but am doing some work on #windows to add #winget and #chocolatey support. After this done will be adding support for #freebsd to coder/coder.
