Last week I attended Etna Days, a three-day excursion to taste the wines, visit the cellars, and dust my boots with volcanic soil. It was my fifth tour there, a chance to re-taste wines I’ve come to admire and discover new wines, too.
I’ve just published notes on 60 wines that were my favorites. Quality was so high overall it was hard to winnow the list, and my notes are but a taste. Enjoy.

I routinely advocate for a fresh look at wine lexicons so was thrilled to be a guest on the terrific Wine Blast podcast, sharing my thoughts on a term we wine writers love to hate and hate to love, "minerality.”

What a pleasure it was to speak to #WineandSpirits' Josh Greene today for my #TablasCreek Instagram Live. I always appreciate Josh's thoughtful approach to #wine... and loved what he had to say about the value (and risk) of tasting blind. If you missed it, it's archived at https://www.instagram.com/p/ClmWoRvBPLx/

Vegan wine lovers may want to read this piece I wrote for Pix / The Drop which explores the issues.
Isn't wine just grapes? Well, no, it's complicated.

My latest article combines illustrations and text to explore and (try to!) explain the work of winemaker Jôsko Gravner. Enjoy. https://terroirreview.com/2022/09/05/the-gravner-notebook/
