This was my caution in the face of the breathless Clinton-era love-fest over outsourcing civil service functions to "cheaper" contractors back in the '90s.
Now we're just "outsourcing" TO MACHINES.
Of course back then, we were also unknowingly dismantling much of the internal architecture that protected our government from SUBVERSION BY the private sector, in what I have now termed the #BillionairesInsurgency. AI is just gonna complete the transition to our profoundly anti-human Tech #Broligarchy.
Its time to ask, #WhatWouldRobespierreDo

"AI" doesn't make employment decisions (yet?); HUMANS do.
And humans need to decide, RIGHT NOW, to stop working for any company or organization that will use AI to cut jobs.
Companies EXIST to provide HUMANS a way to make a living, while providing some good or service to which HUMANS ascribe value. Making money for investors is A SIDE-EFFECT, and it's high time "We, Your Workforce" and "We, Your Customers" UNITE TO REMIND THEM OF THAT.
