DFO offering license buybacks for commercial salmon fishers on the Pacific Coast. My Dad took one of these buyouts in the late 90s after fishing for 25 years. I fished with him for 3 seasons in the mid-90s. Hard work, but I now look back on it fondly both for the hard work, the time with my dad and step-mom and crew, and the incredible scenery and life living on a 50ft fish boat for 2 months.
