@andypiper @cymplecy @kianryan I wonder if between us we could finesse something on fedi to amplify what I'm going to (self-deprecatingly!) refer to as Weird Nerd Events. Maybe a combination of:

• dedicated hashtag that people can use (but perhaps not #WeirdNerdEventUK?!)
• bot that boosts posts from pure "event announcement accounts" (are there (m)any?)
• ...and/or posts snippits from monitored website RSS feeds (like say https://blog.emfcamp.org/rss)

But but but...

Sometimes there actually is an iCal feed like on #Birkenhack's #Gancio site (https://agenda.birkenhack.org/feed/ics?show_recurrent=true) that could be sliced, diced and served up on a central place, perhaps with a little help from the #MinistryOfChaos. I wonder how common these are?
