On 15 February 2013, Posterous published a post announcing it would shut down on April 30.
Here is that post, on my blog, in 2026 — text, dates and links intact, pulled out of the Internet Archive's crawls of a feed that stopped being served thirteen years ago.
The platform is gone. Its goodbye note isn't.

I am kind of concerned about the state of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. My own personal anecdotal evidence is that it's at least once per week broken for 10 - 30 minutes.
Just right now, again, "502 Bad Gateway".
I do donate to them regulary and I hope that they'll get their Web Appication Firewall tuned good enough to defend against botnets (including LLMs), but still not impede usabilty.

It might seem easy if you don't want to host your own stuff anymore to just redirect any request to the #WebArchive overview by prepending https://web.archive.org/web/*/ in front of the URL.

Sérieusement, en ce moment certains n'ont rien d'autre à faire que de hacker 2 de mes sites en même temps, ts... et même pas pour mettre des vidéos ou contenus à la place, juste des fichiers sales et des trackers partout.
Sauvegardes pas trop vieille, donc en 3 heures c'est corrigé. Et pour le billet manquant d'avril dernier, il y a toujours @internetarchive et #waybackmachine ❤️ 🙏🏼

Prodigy was the only service back in the day that supported TGA (Tandy Graphics Adapter) so that's what we used on our Tandy 1000 as CompuServ and AOL would fall back to CGA and go black and white.I actually really liked the platform until I learned about the BBS scene.
