Bolt awake this morning at 6:15am and could NOT get back to sleep. Try as I might to drag my feet through the usual routine, I still found myself at work at 7:45am which is hecka-early; usually I'm rocking up at the office at 9...9:30ish.
So now it's 10 to 10am, and it feels like I've been here for hours and I want to eat my lunch. I have been productive so far, so that's nice, but everything else about this I hate very much.

It really is tough for birds to successfully bring up offspring to adulthood. I don’t think one of the Robin fledglings survived the first night and the second I think perished after the second night. We were privileged to see this Robin fledging from the nest in the ivy. It was second one to leave the nest. It was not able to fly and basically jumped onto a twig and clung on. It sat there until one of the adults came with some food.
