In all the discussions of 40k lore, something always stands out to me as strange, is the fact there's no mention of the unique languages and dialects planets, and even individual hive cities, develop, because it's not like they wouldn't... :neocat_think: The Imperium may rule with an iron grip, but no matter how tight it may be, they're a society of fragments... planets would develop their own cultures beyond the styles of warfare preferred by their guard regiments, notably, the language and culture of their inhabitants...
