#walzvancedebate I would call what Vance did last night aggressive mimicry. That’s when a creature mimics another non-threatening organism in order to lure in prey.

Last night he was actually mimicking Tim Walz!

You know who was a master aggressive mimicker? Ted Bundy.

I found Vance to be even SCARIER than Trump last night, something I didn’t know was possible.

Vance’s performance would have assuaged detractors’ concerns. He skirted some answers smoothly; articulated his position well.

#Walz didn’t do much wrong; I s’ppose he was safe - kept things factual - answered questions wholesomely. Lacked the WOW factor. Didn’t land punches with his oration & was also a tad shaky in certain instances.

All in all, a great spectacle that surpassed Pence v Harris qualitatively.

Oh, if only we could do this to ALL the patronizing over-explainers.

Brennan saying "thank you for explaining the legal process" when she really means "this is not actually relevant or helpful": ugh, I've been there.

But then – THEN! Brennan's satisfied smile as she says, "Gentlemen, the audience can't hear you because your mics are cut." Y'all, I let out a cheer! 🙌🏻

Three thoughts on #WalzVanceDebate:

1. #JDVance sets off all of my alarm bells. Every instinct of my body screams "PREDATOR!" in response to that man. Smarmy. Oily. I do not believe a single word that came out of his mouth tonight.

2. Vance WOULD NOT say that #DonaldTrump lost the 2020 election. He WOULD NOT say that he, Vance, would accept the 2024 election results if the GOP loses.

3. Walz consistently called Vance "Mr. Senator."
Vance consistently called Walz "Tim." #Microaggression

So far these are the best debate moderators we've seen all election cycle. Too bad this is probably the last election ever... #vpdebate #walzvancedebate
