MOTHERFUCKER! I just spent eight FUCKING hours trying to get Windows 10 installed on a spare SSD on my #Thinkpad #W520. Tried making a usb installer with ventoy in linux, no good. Scrounged up a spare windows laptop in the house, used the official installer, nothing but a boot loop and spinning white dots.

The problem? I eventually realized, after pouring over the troubleshooting logs in a shell, that the install *was* "working," in that the startup process "completed." I then thought: Ok, what the fuck else might be causing a system to fail to fully bring up?

Graphics. Fucking graphics. Had to go into the BIOS and disable the Quadro discrete card and use the Intel integrated. Now, the install is churning along fine. Hopefully I can set it back to discrete after installing drivers.

The goal here is to have two drives in the thing at once. My normal linux install, and a windows install for the nursing program that has some lockdown browser we gotta use for tests that only runs on windows.
