SWANSEA: Man jailed for five months after filming sex act without woman’s consent
A Swansea man who recorded himself performing a sexual act with a woman without her consent has been jailed for five months.
David Novac, 34, who also uses the names Teodor and Ahmed, admitted voyeurism after changing his plea from not guilty to guilty on 7 October, South Wales Police said.
The recording was made in May. The force said Novac knew the woman had not consented to being filmed.
As well as the prison sentence, he must register with police under the Sexual Offences Act for seven years.
Detective Constable Claire Davies said the case “has highlighted the importance of consent”.
She said: “It is never okay to engage in any kind of sexual act where both parties involved have not given their consent towards it.”
Anyone who has been the victim of a sexual offence can report it to South Wales Police on 101, or 999 in an emergency. Support is available from the Live Fear Free helpline on 0808 80 10 800.
