I've explored the new Linear Referencing feature in #QGIS 3.40 Bratislava and it works like a charm! 🎉 :qgis:

I've used my #Strava log of a mountainbike trail & kayak tour, visualised on top of beautiful #VectorTiles and #RasterTiles from #MapTiler.

I think I've hit the limits of what #tippecanoe can do. I use it to generate #VectorTiles for #WaterwayMapOrg. It's great for turning a geojson file into a #pmtiles file.

The main maps on WWM.org are created from 20 GiB GeoJSON files. That's fine. 👍 But now I have a different data file which probably needs a lot of specialized zoom level processing to be usabe.

A #map #tile #service with a great custom #scheme from my colleague Dr. Mathias Gröbe.

Just generated #openstreetmap #vectortiles from a planet file using #planetiler on an #azure vm.

It only took roughly 2.5 hours. That's amazing 🤯
