I had some superb luck this week with tubes I bought. I got hold of 5x EF91s for just £5 with shipping, and while two of them are Mullard, the other three are actually Marconi-Osram Valve, made in 1958 and in their original boxes. I'm super happy about that as the Marconi-Osram tubes are rare, and these sound superb in my Little Dots. I actually have well over 20 of these EF91s, most made in 1958 but some spanning up into the 60s before the Hammersmith and Gateshead factories shut down. The ones I have made in 1957 also have heaters that flash brightly on cold-start.
